NORMS Restaurant - CA 90706

Patsy is an amazing server! The food was delicious, she was so kind, and the atmosphere was perfect and fun!

My mom and I just dined in, Susie was our waitress. Per our receipt we sat at table 22/1. I ordered the Veggie omelet with strawberry pancakes (pictured), my mom had the Garlic mushroom chicken, served with salad and fruit. We haven't had Norms in awhile since the location in Santa Monica closed down over 10 years ago. We were in the area for the Cerritos Auto Square and wanted lunch before heading home. Our food was as good as we remembered it without modifications to the menu as we last recalled. Please do not change the menu. The restaurant was a big location, for an old property it was well kept and the AC worked because there was a cold chill as you sat down. The unit runs along the booths on the wall. We were comfortable. There was a bit of a steady flow and the staff worked well together keeping a smooth flow to ensure the customers are attended to. There was a lot of parking as well. We'd come back if we were in the area again. Susie asked for us to leave a review next to her the staff deserves it. I noticed the kitchen had 3 cooks too!

My food tasted great and it was as I remember it when I was here last time many years ago. I tried something different than normal order than their famous pancakes on this trip. The Bahn Mi sliders were yummy! MY server Susie was amazing!!! Always with a smile with every interaction and delivered prompt service! Such an asset to the Norms company! I grew up in the area, moved away to 2 states north and occasionally return to this particular Norms Restaurant because of the customer service my family and I receive every time. It takes me back to my childhood

The cozy interior allowed us to step back in time a few decades and the food and service were good. Parking lot was not crowded and the timing was right as there weren't too many other diners.

Susie was an excellent waitress. She was attentive, friendly and got our table everything we needed. The entire staff was very cheerful and the environment was great for a late breakfast (around 11am). The coffee was brewed well and all of our food came out great. Wish the hash browns were more well done throughout and not just on top, but that's a minor issue. Also, got to use my rewards to comp some goods so that was a bonus. Will definitely return when I'm craving a diner-style breakfast.

I love coming here. The waiters and waitresses are so friendly and patient. I love that they never seem frustrated during the dinner rush which gets really loud and busy. They answer all the questions on substitutions professionally and never make you feel rushed. The shift manager is always walking around and taking time to stop and ask tables if they need anything.

This place feels like home. Staff is quick, capable and friendly but Susie is the best. When she's on I feel like I'm eating at my aunts house. Very quick attentive, warm, welcoming, funny and makes sure your satisfied. Weekends are busy but its quite entertaining.

Am staying in the area from AU and am a certified night owl. This place has a mood, not too bright and retro decor. Good to have a cheap feed of chicken tenders and they keep the house coffee coming. Also enjoy giving the quirky types a nod at 2am. Not a hipster joint but an accidental gem in the burbs Lakewood.
